Riccardo Agostinelli

After a long period at Pavia Ansaldo, Riccardo Agostinelli founded Ashurst’s Italian office in 2000 where he acted as managing partner, before joining Latham & Watkins in 2009 as head of the Italian banking and finance team. From 2014 to 2021 he was name partner at Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners.

As from July 2021 he is name partner at Molinari Agostinelli.

Riccardo specializes in banking law (acquisition, corporate, real estate, sport and infrastructure finance) and insolvency (restructuring and distressed lending). His clients include major banks (Italian and international), investment funds and industrial groups.

Riccardo is recognized as one of the most respected experts in Italy in the field of banking and insolvency by the main national and international legal directories.

The team regularly liaise with national supervisory authorities, including in particular the Banca d’Italia, CONSOB and Borsa Italiana, and supports clients in communications and responses to regulatory bodies in Italy and in various jurisdictions.
